Part One of the Koprowski Reunion

August 1st Matt's mom Carol and his grandma Faye rolled into Boise after a long two day drive from California. Not only did they drive all the way here, but they also brought ALL the stuff we had left behind! When we moved 8 months ago we mistakenly assumed we could fit all our things in our car and a trailer- after all the only furniture we owned was our bed and Sawyer's crib! Alas, we possessed a lot more then originally thought and had to leave a large amount of it behind. Over time we ended up forgetting what we'd left so once it was like Christmas opening up each bin and box!

Sawyer was thrilled to find even more stuffed sheep than he already has!

It was late Monday night when they arrived so we only visited a little while before they went to check into their hotel. The next morning started off with one of Matt's family's traditions: d0nuts! Sawyer very meticulously transferred each and every sprinkle off his chocolate donut and into his mouth.

We spent the better part of the day taking Carol and Faye around Boise. We drove up Warm Springs Avenue to look at all the cool old mansions and then up Quail Ridge to see the impressive new mansions. Later in the afternoon Matt's brother Greg and his wife Melissa showed up. They are moving from California to Wisconsin and while Boise was 5 hours out of the way for them they decided to swing by to spend a few days with us too!
Melissa brought an air mattress with them that Sawyer mistook as his own personal trampoline. He bounced all over that thing every single day they were here! He was a ball of energy like usual, but sadly had caught a cold a few days before everyone arrived. A cold in summer? That should be illegal! Consequently, the whole week was spent forever wiping his nose and yet, I'm still sure everyone got their fair share of Sawyer boogies smeared on them or their stuff. My sincere apologies!!!

Greg brought his super nice camera with him and between he and Mellie using it they got some really cool shots of Sawyer.  Here he his below enjoying his favorite cereal: Reeses puffs. This kid puts my own love of peanut butter to shame. He would eat it each and every day and  for every meal  right off a spoon if he could. I love peanut butter an awful lot (every tried the peanut butter burger at the Ram? It's pure deliciousness) but there is too much of a good thing so I've resorted to hiding the peanut butter in the pantry out of his eyesight. We'll see if "out of sight, out of mind" really works or not!

One night we went for a walk down to the creek and Greg took some neat shots while we were there.

Here's all the girls: Carol on the left, Melissa, myself and Faye.

Our very own personal photographer!

A near fall in.
Accidental?
Gotta watch out for that Melissa! :)

And here's a few shots Greg took of our neighborhood that I thought were neat.

That concludes part one of our family visit! Next up: Matt's birthday!
