The Development of Baby Kprow

A teeny tiny pea...
turned into a kidney bean...
which transformed into a gummy bear....

and then magically became an actual baby!

His little foot print.
And what is that I see? A butt and little wee wee!

This video is for Grandma since after all she is the only one who would want to watch a full 5 minutes of the living being squirming around in my uterus.

Calling all moms!

Does anyone know of a great pregnancy work-out video? I can't seem to find any pre natal classes in my area, which even if I did I doubt I would have time to attend one since I start summer school in less then a month. Going to the gym has left me boggled as to what to do when I'm there since my doctor doesn't want me running or getting my heart rate up too high (his reason being that your heart is enlarged when you're pregnant. And working for a cardiologist and knowing what scary things can happen with an enlarged heart has left me with a big ? as to what sort of exercise pregnant pods CAN do) So I'm hoping that with a solid recommendation on a good video I can squeeze some work out time into my mornings before I go to work. I'm not that big into yoga although some stretching exercises would help since I've been having a lot of back pain lately. Any suggestions moms??

Take me out to the Driving Range

WoW Look at that stance!

That's what happens when your ball goes so high it disappears into the sky.

My second time with Matt at the driving range. I only missed hitting the ball 4x in a row. I also had some fun adding a creative touch to my pic, although I'm sure you couldn't tell. I love those hide and seek picture puzzles.

What 10 things were added to this pro golfer photo? Answers below.

1)a sneaky green tank. 2)my pet parrot 3)a beautiful rainbow with gold at the end 4)a snake poised to strike my ankle 5)a rockin red cowboy boot 6)a man striking a pose in the grass 7)a boxing glove 8)the moon 9)an explosion probably made by that sneaky tank 10)an extra palm tree.

Leave it to the experts

Sometimes you just have to leave some things like dog grooming to the experts. We decided this after our last attempt of trying to save some moola and grooming Moxie ourselves, only this time she knows she looks good and is strutting her stuff. I think she was pretty embarrassed with the results last time.

Action shot! So I know we blog a lot about Moxie as of late, but I'm sure that will change namely when our little namesake comes along. But until then we might as well give Moxie the limelight since she won't even know what hit her when she gets upstaged in 6 months by a crying baby. Which is one of the reasons we enrolled her in training school today. Since we have the time to train her right now we decided to go for it mainly because we'd like to keep all of the baby's toes and fingers nibble free in the future. Hopefully we can get all Moxie's naughtiness out in 8 weeks of Saturday classes.

Farmers Market, BBQ's and swimming....it's summertime!

Yesterday morning I woke up early (for a Saturday) and it was gorgeous out so I took Moxie for a walk and then we hit up the farmers market nearby around 9. It was the first time we've been and I can't believe we have been missing out on that gold mine! I loaded up on gigantic red ripe strawberries, pea pods (a veggie even Matt will nibble on), blueberries and other produce like lettuce and fresh dill. My friend gave me this recipe for potato salad that she puts fresh dill in and I was making it for a barbecue we were going to later that night. It is so incredibly delish and this is all it is: red potatoes, mayonnaise, mustard, green onions and fresh dill. I could eat it for breakfast, lunch and dinner. At the barbecue it was a big hit!

This weekend was so hot, it was in the nineties today. This is Matt and Moxie all worn out from the heat.

We decided we would use our pool at the apartment complex for the first time. This is one of the pictures of it on their website, and one of the reasons we moved here. It is so pretty and screams southern california to me all surrounded by palm trees. Even though it was scorching out, the water was still near freezing. After a few laps I got out for fear of giving the baby goosebumps inside!

This is us right before going to Greg and Melissa's reception here today for those who couldn't travel to Alabama for the wedding. This is the best shot I have so far where I think I'm showing. It's super obvious to me that I have a belly, but to everyone else who doesn't know I'm pregnant I'm sure I just look chubby! hehe.

One of the many family photo's that were taken at the end of the reception. It was fun seeing Greg and Melissa all dressed up again. This time there was an icecream bar we took full advantage of. And lots of good food. Our whole weekend was fun and gave us a preview of what summer will be like!

I was having too much fun tonight. Thanks Leisy for showing me the pikipimp.com ! This is Matt and I in the seventies if we had even been alive then. I'm contemplating this for our new look. Matt could easily grow a handlebar (I mean Ben sported one not too long ago, check it out) and I just need some collagen for an Angelina inspired pucker and an awesome perm. I'll be looking at your blog soon (yes you who is reading this) to see what kind of damage you've done with your pics on this website!

Look what the Easter Bunny brought us!!

We must have been really good this year because the Easter bunny brought us a new Honda CRV! I would have been okay with just some cadbury eggs, but he must have known we had a baby on the way who would not fit in our other two cars.

Saturday night we went and looked at the dealership and ended up trading in our Honda Civic and Accord to get this one. We wanted to get something that was safer and could hold a stroller and car-seat comfortably for when our little pipsqueak gets here. This means we only have one car now, but since Matt rides his bike and takes the train to work it should work out fine. We might just have get a little creative on some days like when it rains for example.

Moxie seemed to enjoy it when we took her to the dog park today. She could see out of the windows and broke in the backseat for us with drool on the way home. Something I'm sure we'll see a lot of when we have another little droolbug sitting with her back there.

This is her approving of our purchase.

Hope everyone had a wonderful Easter and celebrated the real the reason of the holiday with family which is not about chocolate, bunnies, eggs (or new cars) but the resurrection of Christ. Happy Easter!

Alabama Wedding

Last weekend we were far far away in a land called Alabama to see Matt's brother Greg get married. His wife Melissa is from Birmingham which is where we were staying. The whole weekend was a lot of fun and Alabama was beautiful. There were a ton of trees everywhere, the weather was nice and I loved all the people's southern drawls! We flew in on Thursday, helped prepare the reception on Friday and went to the rehearsal dinner that night. Saturday was the wedding and it was great. I pretended to be a videographer and filmed the whole thing with our new video camera for Matt's parents who unfortunately due to illness could not be there. Matt was the best man, otherwise he would have been the one holding the camera and I'm sure would have kept it a whole lot steadier then I did which made it look like an earthquake was going on during the ceremony.

Bride and Groom with Uncle Steve and Aunt Rosie.

Livening things up at the reception and taking candid photos with the help of Aunt Rosie's creativity. The candy bar they had was a definite hit. Those jelly bellies really sustained us on the flight back home.

M is for Melissa? Or is it for Matt?

The hubs and I in our wedding attire. Can't go wrong with a tux.

The whole weekend was perfect, well except for one catastrophe on my part. Friday morning we were eating breakfast in the lobby at the hotel and my sensitive sniffer kept smelling this horrible smell, no even worse, the most horrific disgusting smell imaginable was more like it. Matt could every once in a while get a whiff of it too, and we thought that maybe a door to the dumpster was being opened because it reeked like rotten garbage. Finally I said I had to wait outside for us to go over to the bride's house because it was making me nauseous. When we got into the rental car and were on our way over I STILL could smell it! I asked Matt "is it me??" I was smelling my sweater and my clothes to check, and he said not to worry the smell was probably just stuck in my sensitive pregnant nose. Then I grabbed something out of my purse and Matt said "um, did you ever get rid of that chicken you put in your purse yesterday morning?" SICK!!! I had put some in there super early Thursday morning for the airplane ride so I could have some protein to eat and had forgotten about it. The smell was so overwhelming and nasty I thought I was going to get sick in the rental car, but we finally got to her house where Greg and Rosie and Steve were waiting for us. I got out and Rosie asked if I was okay, and the next thing I knew here came the waterworks! I was crying and asking for the bathroom because I was sure I was going to throw up. Greg was running around trying to get the keys to the house to let me in so I could puke in privacy, Matt was running around trying to empty my purse and dispose of the nasty chicken, I was crying and saying "just throw it away, my purse is ruined!" because seriously I couldn't imagine using it after that. All the while Uncle Steve and Rosie were trying to comfort me saying "don't worry, we'll get you a new one". It was pretty funny a few hours later, but it was definitely not humorous at the time. And true to his word, we went shopping right before the rehearsal dinner that night and Uncle Steve bought me a new purse. A even cuter one too I might add.

My new super cute purse that will be chicken free from here on out.

Rosie even got a new one as well. Matt said next time he's gonna cry so he can something too :)
