Well Hello Again

Right now I am listening to Taylor Swift while sorting through my heaping pile of papers from my first semester of nursing school which is now over. Goods news, I survived! Thankfully I made some lifelong friends the first week who I credit with keeping me sane. Matt also helped keep my sanity in check by making dinner every Wednesday and helping around the house. And if I am giving credit where credit is due then I must not forget my mom who watched Sawyer for me three days a week while in class and any time I needed extra study time. Not to mention, the lunch she fed me in between in classes, the ear she lent for me to vent about my stress, and the bed I took naps on many an afternoon. I guess this has turned into a mother's day post :)  Anyway, the bottom line is that I felt extremely supported by friends and family during my first semester and it was a really good feeling to know I had people cheering me on even though I was practically a ghost during the last 5 months!

Back to the present, Sawyer is in daycare right now. During the semester my mom watched him Monday, Tuesday and Thursday and then he went to an in-home daycare here in Kuna by a lady named Tracey McRoberts on Wednesdays and Fridays. We debated taking him out for the summer, but didn't want to lose his spot for next semester. Plus the interaction with all the kids has been really good for him. He is talking in sentences and by talking I mean never stopping. The repetitiveness can drive you a little bonkers, but most of the time he is cracking us up with his stories and inflection when speaking. He is extremely animated and really enjoys being LOUD as in really really
LOUD!!
The following photos make me smile. They accurately portray the boisterous personality of this two and half year old, not to mention the first photo shows off his awesome and very eclectic fashion sense.

I have big plans of studying on the days like today that he is at daycare; however, the last few times I've spent the day deep cleaning and painting random things around the house. So far his dresser and a bench for upstairs have been painted BLUE and soon our front door will go from being BLACK to RED. I'm super excited about it since it will transform our porch into one that looks like people actually live here! For Mother's Day Matt and Sawyer gave me this sheep which I absolutely LOVE. I am obsessed fascinated with sheep and if I could have one as a pet I totally would. For now, this wooden one will do.

I also have plans of keeping the blog updated throughout the summer. Hoping I can actually do a re-cap of the last few months first! I have lots of photos and without blogging them I feel like they will be forgotten.

This weekend is our anniversary. 6 years to be exact! Traditionally the six year anniversary gift is supposed to be candy. I think we can probably manage that seeing as how we are practically candy connoisseur's. Most of the years in the past we have gone to the San Diego zoo to celebrate, but since that is out of the question, the Boise Zoo it is! It is quite possible that a really mushy gushy anniversary post will be posted in the near future.

Crummy the Cat

Friends of a friend of ours had to get rid of their cat Crummy because of their daughters severe asthma and allergies to him. We decided to do a trial run with Crummy over the weekend just to make sure that he was going to be a good fit with our family and to be sure that I wasn't allergic since I used to be as a kid. Turns out he was a great fit, and I'm not allergic, but Matt is! ;( We are so disappointed because he is such an awesome cat, but with Matt working from home having itchy eyes and sneezing all day is just not an option. We are desperately trying to find another great home for him so that we don't have to give him back to the family he came from. Their daughter was absolutely heartbroken about having to get rid of her cat and we don't want her to have to go through that whole process again!

Crummy is 4 years old, has had all of his shots along with being neutered and de-clawed in the front. Being de-clawed means he won't scratch up your furniture, but he does need to be an indoor cat since he couldn't defend himself from outdoor predators. He is so incredibly mellow and easy going. Crummy LOVES kids and is good with dogs once he is introduced to them.

Please let us know as soon as possible if you are interested in giving Crummy a good home. You can reach me at  (818) 378-7056 or by email at kkprow@gmail.com
