Pygmy no more

9 days ago there was barely a bump....and then VIOLA!
At my last Dr.'s appointment I was measured to see how the baby was growing and to my surprise the doctor said it was a big ol' baby in there for only a little over 21 weeks. It does seem like the little lemon tripled in size to a large cantaloupe over night, maybe a watermelon will appear by morning. Matt was a nine pounder so looks like his son could be following in his footsteps. Lucky me. :0

08 vs. 09

Matt in 2008 with long platinum locks.

New and improved Matt with his do it yourself hair-do.

Kristen in 2008 with reddish longish hair.

Kristen 2009 with not so much new and improved as to just shorter and more natural coloring. Looks like both Matt and I got less high maintenance in the hair department in a years time.

Our two year anniversary!

Our three year anniversary!

Lucky number 3

There's something about odd numbers that makes me like them so much better then even ones. They seem so much more fun and unique! Looking back all the memories from odd number ages stick out to me while the even years are kinda fuzzy. So this year is a great one considering I'll be 25, Matt will be 29 and it's our 3 year anniversary! Since we had such a good time last year celebrating our 2nd year at the San Diego zoo we decided to be unoriginal and go for round 2 there. We drove down early in the morning and made it by 10 am, and the zoo was already, well, a zoo!! There were a bajillion people there for memorial day weekend, yes a bajillion, I counted. We enjoyed walking around just the two of us, since the next time we venture there we will be one of the many stroller bound.

This was one of my favorite animals of the day. I wish I could have gotten on camera the little boy staring intently at this thing who was laying there like he was dead and then suddenly put his reptilian head up and stared right back at him....that little boy screamed like he'd been bitten! It was pretty funny, even his parents were laughing so I didn't feel bad that I was too.

Conned some tourists into taking our pic for us.

After walking around the zoo for almost 6 hours we went to the Gaslamp district in San Diego and walked around some more which was following in the footsteps of what we did last year too! Only this time we ate somewhere different.

I can't believe it's been 3 years already! Time flies when you're having fun!

Strawberry Festival

Went today to check out the infamous Strawberry Festival for the first time. It was fun albeit probably the first and last time we'll go since it was $12 per person to get in! In my opinion all strawberry food and beverages should have been included in the ticket price. It was fun and something different to do, although our favorite part was just people watching...festivals and fairs sure bring all the weirdies out of the woodwork! The two in the pic were just one of the weird couples we saw there.

We did get a strawberry smoothie to share and it was by far the best one I've ever had. It had Jamba Juice beat hands down!

Hey save some for me!

And since I am now almost exactly 20 weeks or 5 months in non pregnancy terms I thought I would try to get a preggy pic. This was the best I could get and even there it's hard to make out there's a pregnant belly and not just "I ate a big lunch" kind of belly. I'm starting to think that maybe it's a pygmy dwarf that's growing in there.

Not to brag or anything...

But my mom sent me this video of myself. I had no idea I was such a celebrity and my baby isn't even born yet!

Thanks mom! Happy Mothers Day to you too! And all other Mommy's out there.
