Summer 2015

Summer recap.

Lunch at The Village in Meridian with family including Scout's Grandma, her Great Grandma and Great Great Grandma Dee.

Lots of cooling off in the backyard "swimming" pool.

Watching daddy mow the lawn.

Neighborhood bike rides.

Staying busy unloading cupboards and making messes.

Followed by lots of down time snuggling mom because of way too many ear infections.

A trip to McCall when Nana was in town.

Picnics outdoor....and indoor.

A fourth of July spend at home with a sick, feverish baby who fell asleep on her daddy.

Summer backyard haircuts.

Playing legos.

And the summer wrapped up with a few weeks spent at Roaring Springs since we got a pass for next year and were able to go at the end of their 2015 summer season.

This little girl was a big fan of the waterpark, as was Sawyer. We had a lot of fun going those last few weeks of summer. We already got our money's worth and we still have all of summer 2016 to look forward to!

We spend some time exploring the parks around our new house.

And went hiking at Camels Back park quite a few times.

And the summer wrapped up with a new job for me! In August I accepted a night nurse position at St. Alphonsus on their Postpartum unit and am training for Labor and Delivery this February. I loved my first nursing job in family practice, loved the doctor I worked for, as well as all my co-workers, so it was a sad day to put in my notice. Working with moms and babies though is what I went to nursing school for in the first place so it was a dream come true to finally get to start working in this field of nursing! I started at the hospital at the end of August and have really loved working there. I again have amazing co-workers, and have really enjoyed being a part of the monumental moment in parents lives when they bring another life into their family. Thankfully working nights, from 7pm-7am, has not been too difficult as far as transitioning with sleep. I get to see my kiddos so much more than I did at my past job, including taking them to and from school, having dinner together, and doing bath time and jammy time before I head into work. Plus I only work three nights a week which is a huge blessing since I now have extra time to spend with my family. I couldn't ask for a better career that works well with being a mom.
