We've been all sorts of silly and feeling good for the past two days.
Even Moxie has been a participant in the fun.
Sawyer thought it was especially funny to see the dog sporting a diaper just like him. I found it even more amusing then he did, which is why I didn't take it off of her for a good 15 minutes. Had to get my moneys worth since that diaper was going in the trash afterwards.
Then today after my morning Chemistry class we decided, on a whim, to go check out the new indoor playground in Meridian called Just Kid'n Around. I couldn't remember the name when I was telling Matt about it, but knew it had something to do with goats. Luckily we found it. We got there around 1:00 and stayed for around an hour and a half.
Sawyer fixed us a tasty lunch of sliced apples and cucumbers while we were there. Thankfully he had turned the burners off. I tried to tell him cutting fruit on the stove just isn't practical. Actually if plastic food isn't what you're in the mood for, they do have a cafe there so you can enjoy a meal or just some coffee while you watch your kid run around like a maniac. It's a win/win for both parent and child.
And the best part about that place? You can leave and come back later in the day, which is exactly what we did. We went home for a few hours and around 5:30 when Sawyer got his second wind of energy we headed on back.
This time around he served us some delicious tea.
Want some?
It's Oolong tea just like in Coraline, but if you'd prefer Jasmine he has that as well.
After tea he decided to help them clean up the place since they closed at 7. We think he may be headed for a career in the custodial arts.
And to Matt's dismay delight he did a little babysitting. Sawyer was just doing what any good dad would do, those poor baby dolls hadn't been on a walk all day!
Me doing the "smile at daddy" finger poking pose that as of late has been very unsuccessful. Stubborn little stinkbug is getting stingy with those smiles. We got the lip pucker pout instead.
You can kind of get an idea of what the place looks like from the photo below. You can see Matt in the background sitting on the uber comfy couches they have for the parents to kick back on. There Sawyer is in the 'baby' area where there is a little toddler slide he slid down about twenty times in a row. At that moment he had just discovered there was another little boy in that area, wearing the same exact outfit and looking very familiar. He could have sworn he'd seen him before somewhere!
And finally right before we left Dad helped him do some rock climbing to ensure he was good and tired before bedtime. It worked. We put S. to bed about two hours ago and haven't heard a peep since.
Now that right there makes it's totally worth the $5.75 admission!
(just for kids, parents are free)

That place looks like so much fun!!!
Let's see: he vacuums, cooks, takes care of the baby and serves tea. He would make a great English Nanny!
Wow - that sounds like an awesome cuz play date! Too bad we don't live closer! If you guys want to head our way, we have some vacuuming and cooking to be done that I think S could take care of lickity split!
Next time I am in town I am so going there...with Kooper of course! I wish wish wish we had a place like that here...especially since the snow is on the ground from November through April. We resort to going to Artic Circle and McDonalds play place just to get out! Maybe when we're in town next Koop and Sawyer can "play house" together!
