Memorial Day

Memorial Day we went on a bike ride to Sandy Point park. It was six miles there and Sawyer rocked it on his own bike the whole way! Once we arrived we realized his little legs on his one-speed may not make it back in the headwind and on a path that was going to be slightly uphill the whole ride back. So Matt went back to retrieve the car while Scout, Sawyer and I played in the grass with all the geese and ventured down to the water, but it was too cold to get all the way in.

In the wind it was pretty chilly so the kids would wrap themselves up in the picnic blanket to warm up.

Then just as we were beginning to get bored and wonder how much longer it was going to take Matt to come back and get us, we remembered we have a bunch of fun photo features on the iPhone! We started taking slo-mo videos of Sawyer jumping off the picnic table and doing all sorts of tricks. Then Scout joined in too. They were hilarious to watch! 

That evening we went to Rosie and Steve's for a barbecue and roasted S'mores in their backyard. It was a great end to a fun, relaxing day.
